Prepositions are small words that cause big trouble. They are often placed in front of nouns. In the sentence: "The hedgehog visited us on Monday, at ten to six, in the dark", the prepositions are 'on', 'at', 'to' and 'in'.

Prepositions are tricky to master as there are very few hard and fast rules, and rarely is there an equivalent word in other languages to translate to. Our English prepositions video will explain this in more detail.
